What FROGZ stores in your browser, and what you can turn off.
1. Strictly necessary — always on
These are required for the game to work at all, so they are not optional. Under the ePrivacy Directive they do not require consent.
| What | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Local game profile | Your guest progress, level, coins and unlocked cosmetics, stored in your browser's local storage | Until you clear browser data |
| Settings | Volume, language, graphics quality, controls, chosen loadout | Until you clear browser data |
| Session token | Keeps you signed in, if you have an account | Until you sign out |
| Age band | Remembers the result of the age screen so we don't ask again | Until you clear browser data |
| Consent choice | Remembers your advertising answer so we can honour it | 12 months |
2. Advertising — your choice
Ads pay for FROGZ being free. What advertising storage is allowed depends on your answer to the consent banner, and on your age band:
| Your situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Under 13 | Child-directed, non-personalised ads. No advertising identifier, no cross-site tracking, and the consent banner is never shown. |
| 13+, consent declined | Non-personalised ads. Google may still use a frequency-capping identifier, but builds no profile of you. |
| 13+, consent given | Personalised ads. Google sets cookies and may use your ad profile to choose what to show. |
We do not load any advertising script until you have answered — decline, and Google's code is never fetched in personalised mode at all.
3. What we don't do
- No analytics or tracking pixels from social networks.
- No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers.
- No advertising storage of any kind for players under 13.
4. Changing your mind
Open Settings → Privacy in the game to change your advertising choice at any time. You can also clear all FROGZ storage from your browser's site-data settings — that will also erase a guest profile permanently, so sign in first if you want to keep your progress.
5. Third-party cookies
When advertising is enabled, cookies may be set by Google. Their use is governed by Google's cookie policy. Payment pages are hosted by Stripe and set their own cookies for fraud prevention. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of processors.
